EDUCATION AND YOUR HEALTH
YOUR LIFE - BALANCE OUT EVERYTHIG
Think about your life. Does it have a good mix of different elements to ensure that it is balanced – it should include, work, family, friends, rest and relaxation. Or are you spending far too long on just one part of your life at the expense of all the others? This is what causes stress – before even you think. Don’t neglect to give your self plenty of time to relax.
Go on - have some fun and see what your body is really capable of.
SLEEP BETTER
Have a hot milky drink – the milk helps as it contains tryptophan and calcium, both natural sleep inducers.
Have a bath before bed, adding relaxing oils such as sandalwood, to the water.
Use a herbal pillow filled with dried hops which are natural tranquillizers.
Make sure your bed is comfortable.
EXERCISE
We all have parts of our body that we hate. But it’s no use sitting there envying Cindy Craford or Claudia Schiffer - she hates her feet, but what can she do about it? But there are something you can work on:
Hips, thighs and bums. Try yoga and stairs climbing.
Tums. Go swimming, belly dancing, hill walking or try posture lessons such as pilates.
Small chest or droopy bust. Try weight lifting, breaststroke at swimming and posture lessons.
PAMPER YOUR SELF WITH A MASSAGE
Ask your partner to massage your neck and shoulders – most people can give a massage without any experience.
The easiest way to maaasge yourself is to use the fingers of your right hand to massage along top of left shoulder and left side of neck for a few minutes. Repeat on other side with left hand. Rest for a minute, and then repeat the procedure. Use the pads of your fingertips to gently massage your forehead and also in between your eyebrows.
For a special treat, book a masseuse to come around to your house.
